Long appointments, when the initial appliances are placed, are usually scheduled in the morning. We understand that your time is valuable and we will attempt to schedule times that are convenient for you. Initial placement of braces can take 1-2 hours and are best done in the morning when patients are fresh and we have the ability to spend the extra time to ensure their comfort. However, regular adjustment appointments can be scheduled after school.
Adult appointments are available early and later in the day to accommodate work schedules. We recognize that the adults in the practice may have different needs and make every attempt to utilize the private room for their treatment.
Regular adjustment appointments are usually only 20-30 minutes long. We ask that if you have something loose or broken to call and let us know ahead of time so that we can try to allot some extra time in the schedule for a repair. We understand that there are unforeseen circumstances, but if possible, we ask that you give us at least 24 hour notice if you will not be able to keep your appointment.
We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow your child to accompany our staff through the orthodontic experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child’s confidence and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, you are more than welcome to accompany your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.
The cost of treatment varies based on the complexity and length of your particular case. We will discuss the cost as well as various finance options with at your consultation appointment.
Our staff will help you verify the amount of coverage provided by your insurance provider and will work with you to maximize your reimbursement. We do participate with several insurance companies and would be happy to submit your insurance form.
Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage or payment options. We want to make your entire orthodontic experience a pleasant one.
